Celiac disease progressing to enteropathy-associated T-Cell lymphoma: A rare and critical manifestation

Sajjan Iqbal Memon, Ramzana Perveen, Hyder Ali, Haseeb Raza.

Abstract
We are writing to address the critical awareness concerning the advancement of celiac disease (CD) to enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma (EATL). In genetically predisposed individuals, gluten consumption activates the chronic autoimmune disorder referred to as CD. Most persons with CD respond favorably to a gluten-free diet. However, a few may advance to EATL, a rare and aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.1 This concerning change highlights the necessity for increased awareness and prompt action as illustrated in the Fig.

Key words: Celiac disease, enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma, autoimmune condition, malignant transformation.
